Transportation
Please arrange your own transportation to and from the airports.
Carpools may be coordinated to and from the course with local
students. We also recommend renting a car with your IKYTA discount.
Here's information about transportation to LAX, the major
International Airport in the area (shuttle information is applicable
to all regional airports):
By Car
LAX is 15 miles south west of Los Angeles.
From:

Downtown LA take Interstate 10 west to the 405 South, then
follow signs for LAX.

San
Fernando Valley join the 405 South to the airport.

Orange
County take the 405 North to the LAX exits.
Taxi
Journey time from downtown LA is around 30 minutes but can be much
longer depending on traffic.

Train or Local Ground Transportation
The Metro Green Line runs east-west between Norwalk and Redondo
Beach. Get off at Aviation Station where a free shuttle bus serves
all LAX terminals. Buses arrive at terminal lower levels.
Trains operate every 8-12 minutes from around 4:30am to 11:30pm.
Connections from the Blue Line which runs north-south can be made at
Imperial Station. Fare: $1.35 one way, $2.70 round trip. For more

Shuttle
Many companies provide 24 hour van services from LA and surrounding
areas to the airport. They cost around $22-25 from downtown and
Pasadena, $35-40 from the Valley. Here we provide a non-exhaustive
