TTEC Statement of Purpose and Function

TTEC Mission Statement

  • We work together with trust, authenticity, open communication and humility as a permanent standing committee of the KRI Board of Directors.

  • In collaboration with all other relevant organizations, we embody the consciousness of Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga.

  • We provide counsel to the Director of Spiritual Trust in all areas of teacher training, and act to ensure the highest levels of competency, skill, ethics, values, spirit of community and consciousness among teachers with the intention to uplift rather than to judge

  • We lead in the development and delivery of Aquarian Teacher training and serve to maintain the integrity of teacher training.

  • We provide multiple avenues for all trainers around the world to have a voice in the development and delivery of teacher training programs.

  • In order to ensure ongoing generations of trainers to carry on this mission, we work to continually inspire young people to take up leadership and training roles.

TTEC Purpose

  • To advise KRI in all issues regarding the development of KRI Teacher Training and related programs. For example curriculum and program requirements, policies regarding the quality and standards required of trainers, development of trainer training programs, on- going quality controls of programs…. etc

  • To support KRI in the development and implementation of programs and standards.

Agenda set by AT GM driven by needs of and input from:

  • Director of Spiritual Trust

  • KRI Management Team

  • Trainers, teachers and students in the field

Membership

  • No more than 20 members plus Management Team members

  • The Regional Coordinators of Training are members.

  • Member Profile

    • Expertise and Experience in realm of TT

    • Commitment to participate

    • General diversity which utilizes the resources of global community of trainers.

  • Guest to meetings invited by GM

  • New Member Procedure

    • May propose themselves, be proposed by current members or be proposed by GM, DOT or COT.

    • Director of Spiritual Trust will appoint new members based on proposals recommendations from:

      • Members of Management Team.

      • TTEC Membership Sub-Committee.

      • Trainers themselves.

  • Any member who misses two consecutive meetings may be asked to resign.

How will TTEC function as part of the decision making process?

  • The advice and council of the TTEC will be requested for all matters which are critical or fundamental to the Aquarian Teacher Program. Such as:

    • Goals and desired outcomes of courses and programs.

    • Guidelines for curriculums and course requirements necessary to meet desired outcomes.

    • Skill and ethical standards for trainers.

    • Financial guidelines or requirements.

  • Depending on the issue or time restraints that advise will be sought at full body bi-annual meetings, or appropriate sub-committee, or by email or phone.

  • The recommendations of the TTEC will be incorporated in proposals formulated by the appropriate body (i.e. Office of Training, GM, Sub-Committee…)

  • Proposals will be reviewed by KRI Management Team (who may ask for final input from TTEC) and then passed onto the Director of Spiritual Trust.

  • The Director of Spiritual Trust may ask for further review by of persons or entities (such as CMT or RAS).

  • The final approval for a proposal will be made by the Director of Spiritual Trust.

  • The AT GM will communicate the outcome to the TTEC.

How the TTEC will function as a support to the development, maintenance and spreading of AT program.

  • Create or take leadership in Project Sub Committees – for example

    • Level II Module Development

    • Level I Program Format (Intensive / Out Reach)

  • Create or take leadership in Standing Committees – for example

    • Legal

    • Trainer Development

    • Ethics

    • Standards (QA)

    • Yoga Alliance

  • (Committees will include qualified teachers and trainers who are not TTEC members)
